Join Pittsburgh Regional Transit tonight from 5:30-7:30pm for an information session where they'll review the proposed final network for their Bus Line Redesign initiative.
Interested community members can register to attend by visiting the PRT Engage page dedicated to their Bus Line Redesign initiative here.
During this informational, online-only session (conducted via Zoom), PRT staff will be providing an overview of the proposed BLR network and will walk through the timeline for public involvement.
The latest public comment period related to PRT's Bus Line Redesign opened yesterday, August 17, and will remain open through September 30, 2026. Written comments/feedback can be provided to Pittsburgh Regional Transit through multiple means including an online comment form, email, phone, or direct mail, as well as two in-person opportunities on August 25 and September 10 where participants will be given 3-minute blocks of time (pre-registration for in-person comment is greatly encouraged as available blocks of time are expected to fill up.)
To review the latest from PRT regarding the proposed Bus Line Redesign, provide online commentary, or learn more about the project and opportunities for public involvement, visit https://engage.rideprt.org/buslineredesign. The "Go!" links found in the right-hand column will direct you to "find my route" or view the "network map" from which you can reach a comment form specific to the route(s) that impact you most.
Reviewing the map: By visiting the interactive map of the BLR Proposed Final Network, riders can toggle on the additional "data layers" using the control panel on the right to reveal the "Current Fall 2025 PRT Network" (as shown highlighted in yellow in the screenshot above) which will appear as a thin black line alongside the proposed redesign of the network in blue. This can make more clear any proposed changes to the route/path, for example.
And by toggling on the "PRT Ridership by Stop & Route" layer, you can reveal the existing "Average Daily Boarding" volume per stop which may offer valuable insight when interpreting the proposed network redesign when developing your feedback and submitting comments.
You can also simply scroll down on the homepage to find a general "Ask a Question" form and search/review the comments that have already been submitted by others.
Other ways to offer feedback: You can also find additional methods to provide public comment during this period by visiting https://engage.rideprt.org/buslineredesign/blr-finaldraft-comments for instruction on how to submit feedback by email, phone, or direct mail, as well.
In addition to tonight's online event, PRT will hold two public hearings in-person at the Heinz 57 Building at 345 Sixth Ave on August 25 and September 10 where participants will be able to comment during 3-minute blocks of time. As noted above, registration is greatly encouraged as available blocks of time are expected to fill up according to PRT staff. You can register to provide in-person comment, and can also sign up to receive updates directly from PRT via email, from the links above.
