One week ahead of schedule, the around-the-clock closure and detour of all I-376 Parkway East traffic will officially end with the new bridge planned for re-opening at 8pm on Monday, July 27 in the eastbound (outbound) direction followed by westbound (inbound) shortly thereafter.
The official press conference from Gov. Josh Shapiro, regional and local officials, and project team leadership just concluded – with the announcement that the I-376 Parkway East Commercial Street Bridge will officially re-open to all traffic this evening, Monday, July 27.
The re-opening will be staged with eastbound (outbound) traffic scheduled for 8:00 p.m. followed by westbound (inbound) traffic shortly thereafter.

The portions of Commercial Street and Nine Mile Run Trail beneath the new bridge structure are expected to remain closed through the project's scheduled completion date of the morning of August 3, 2026.
