Providing the region with 60 stations and 600 bikes (and growing!), Pittsburgh's bike shaer program, POGOH, is meant to empower commuters, residents, students, and visitors to utilize bicycling as a viable means of transportation for short trips around the city by utilizing this innovative and accessible bicycle rental progra mthat features both manual and electric-powered bikes in its fleet.

To take advantage of the progra, riders can choose a pricing plan that works for them and proceed to rent, ride, and return bicycles from official POGOH stations throughout the city.

Formerly named Healthy Ride, POGOH is the result of a complete equipment replacement and rebrand of the Pittsburgh BIke Share program that took place in 2022. POGOH is owned and operated by Bike Share Pittsburgh, a 501c3 non-profit headquartered in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.

Station locations can be found on the the official Station Map maintained by POGOH on their website (which also includes detailed information the number of available bikes located at each dock) or by using the official PBSC app, the Transit app, or OTMA's Multimodal Resourdes Map which features additional information about a wide range of mobility options including transit stop locations, bike racks and storage locations, bike repair stop locations, bike infrastructure and commonly used routes through Oakland, walking routes, parking information, and more.

In addition to traditional, self-propelled pedal bikes, POGOH also offers e-assist (electric) bicycles which still require the rider to pedal, but an electric motor automatically activates to assist the rider while climbing hills and getting started after a stop. As POGOH shares, "Trust us, it's awesome."

To get signed up, riders can visit the POGOH website or sign-up directly on the PBSC app. Riders who do not have a smartphone can coordinate access through POGOH Customer Support by calling 412-595-9421 to coordinate receiving a Membership Card that can be used to "tap" at any POGOH station in order to pay for your rental. POGOH's Mobility Justice program members will receive a Membership Card for free at registration, and all other customers can request a card for a small fee by contacting Customer Support at the phone number above, or by emailing hello@pogoh.com.
