January 26 PRT service impacts from ongoing winter weather conditions in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Regional Transit service impacts from ongoing winter weather and temperature conditions continue with buses operating only where road conditions allow and detours being implemented "one trip at a time" if buses are unable to access certain streets safely. As of 3pm today, several bus routes remain "unable to serve," though rail service is running normally.

As winter weather and temperature conditions continue to impact the region today, Pittsburgh Regional Transit's latest "winter storm update" issued at 3:00 p.m. on January 26, 2026, highlights that Light Rail service is running normal service, but buses are operating only where road conditions allow, and riders can expect service delays of up to 40 minutes.

Riders are being encouraged to stay home if possible and allow extra travel time if necessary. Route detours are being implemented one trip at a time if/when buses are unable to access certain streets safely.
