All Port Authority riders will pay $2.75 when fare restructuring goes into effect January 1

The Port Authority of Allegheny County will implement a new fare structure on January 1, 2022, impacting all riders who will now pay a flat $2.75 which will be valid for 3 hours from initial use – with unlimited transfers within that timeframe. This is a $0.25 increase from today's single trip fare paid by ConnectCard users, though it eliminates the additional $1 transfer charge today, and actually matches the existing cash fare price of $2.75.

Day and weekly passes will continue to provide the best value for frequent riders, offering unlimited rides for a designated period of time – with Day Passes (valid from the start of service until the end of service with a single day) staying at $7 and 7-Day Passes staying at $25. Monthly and Annual passes will also remain the same price at $97.50 and $1,072.50 respectively.

Half-fare rates apply to Children ages 6-11 with a Kids ConnectCard, Medicare recipients, and riders with disabilities who have verified eligibilityAdditional discounts are available for some college students, staff, and faculty through Pass Programs at University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, Chatham University, Carlow University, Point Park University, and Robert Morris University.
